Notes

This is a completely server side mod mod. There is nothing to be downloaded for the clients that you haven't already downloaded for the standard Action Quake mod.

This mod will work on any standard Action Q2 map.

Changes from Action Quake 1.52

Bot Detection

Rather than just booting, or just warning fellow players about bots that enter the game, this mod simply handicaps the bots. All bot users will take a little more damage per shot (making shotguns the weapon of choice when attacking bots), and will explode in a hideous explosion of gibs when they die. Nothing more, nothing less.

Compass

While in the game a compass will appear in the lower left hand side of the player's screen. The player can also use the %D and %L macros when talking with teammates to help coordinate movements and sightings around the map.

Undefined Doors

Some maps were built with the map authors not specifying whether a door opened clockwise or counterclockwise. Just for kicks and giggles the Brimstone Action mod has those doors open opposite of what standard Action Quake does.

Abbreviated Start Quote

I was really irritated that my qconsole logs were filled with the Lights! Camera! Action! lines. It was messy. Now only the Action! line is printed to the qconsole log.
